Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the quantitative analysis of physical factors affecting the results of natural IR - radiometer measuring of marine surface characteristics and to the development of the improved measuring methods with the high levels of exactness, which are necessary for development of satellite methods of surface temperature measuring and radiometric calculation of total heat flow through the sea - atmosphere boundary layer. The comprehensive analysis of radiation forming in the system sea - atmosphere - radiometer taking into account the radiation multireflections is carried out, on which base calculation expressions of explored radiation and its errors due to various factors, such as environmental influence on the radiometer, calibrator non-blackness, non-zero field of view, are reached. The analysis of the offered calibration methods and expressions for measuring results shifting gives the real basis of providing the natural IR - radiometric SST measuring with the accuracy level of about0.1°. New methods of radiometric determination of flat surfaces emissivity are presented which in many cases are more exact, than known. The two-channel IR radiometric method of total heat flow through the sea - atmosphere boundary layer calculation is comprehensively analysed, its physical and methodical features are revealed and the improved measuring method is offered.
