3. The object of researches - investigation of linkage between iodine and selenium content in fodders and their concentration in blood, thyroid gland activity and antioxidant system in cattle body in different landscape zones of Western region of Ukraine. The purpose of research - thyroid gland hormone-synthesizing activity, antioxidant system activity and metabolic profile definition in cattle blood in different landscape zones of Western region of Ukraine depending on iodine and selenium content in fodders and at parenteral administration of different doses of selenium. Methods of researches - biochemical (chromatography, immunoenzyme, spectrophotometry), statistical. Theoretical and practical results, scientific novelty - first time dependence between iodine and selenium content in fodders and some biochemical factors (iodine and selenium concentration, thyroid hormones concentration, gluthatione peroxidase activity, lipids peroxidation products content, proteins and lipids content) in cattle bloodin different landscape zones of Western region of Ukraine - Carpathian, Subcarpathian, Lisostep was investigated. Subject and extent of usage - first time in CUS recommendations of selenium usage in cattle feeding, recommended by Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine for introduction were developed. Field of application - scientific institutions, veterinary medicine network, fodder plants.
