Essay

Object of research is the process of diamond grinding of vanadium tool steels with enlarged contact arcs of wheel and workpiece. The purpose of research is the decrease of the manufacturing cost of diamond grinding with enlarged contact arcs of vana-dium tool steels at machining with enlarged contact arcs of wheel and workpiece by means of optimiza-tion of machining conditions and spark-erosive con-trol actions on WWS. Methods of investigations: theoretical on the basis of rules of the theory of cut-ting, experimental with contact and static measuring devices. The mathematical model of grinding process by elastic setup as non-stationary process is devel-oped. The analytical dependencies for determination of the specific manufacturing cost of grinding by elastic setup are advanced. The formula for determi-nation of optimum conditions of control spark-erosive actions is proposed. The technological rules of diamond grinding of vanadium tool high-speed steels are developed. These rules have been intro-duced into production. The results of research can be used in machine-building industry for determination of grinding conditions.
