A results of study of the Fe-(C+N) steel are presented. It is established that the interstitial atomic distribution in such steel is characterized by strong repulsion within two coordination spheres in both ferrite and austenite. It was shown that (C+N) alloying increases the concentration of conduction electrons. (C+N)-alloying concept was applied to develop the high-strength wear-resistant steel with high corrosive properties.
