Essay

The comparative study of thymocyte calcium homeostasis at the early stages of apoptosis induced by 0,1 mM hydrogen peroxide or x-irradiation in a doze of 4,5 Gy was carried out. It was shown that hydrogenperoxide was able to induce an increase of free cytosolic calcium concentration in thymocytes, there were no changes in x-irradiated cells. It was determined that the calcium homeostasis imbalance is due to transmembane calcium exchange alterations in calcium depots.
