Essay

The preconditions of the occupation policy of the Russian Empire in Eastern Galicia are investigated. Tasks of the Russian authorities during the whole period of the First World War are determined. The author gave a systematic analysis of different vectors of the Russian administration's activity in the region. Social and economic processes are cleared up. The role of Moscow oriented organizations in determining the policy of the Russian power is enlighted.
