Essay

The object is the thermal hydraulic processes and phenomenon occurring in RBMK nuclear reactor during transients and accidents dealt with a failure of active zone cooling; the aim is to increase an adequacy of mathematical modeling of thermal hydraulic processes and phenomenon occurring in two-phase nuclear reactor during transients and accidents; methods are the mathematics, physics experiment; the new approach is that the correlations for calculation of interfacial friction and hydraulic resistance in heating bundles and grids of RBMK power channels have been defined more precise, the analyses of two-phase flow pattern in different cuts of RBMK power channels at the accident dealt with the stop of flow at the inlet of channel has been carried out; the main include the mathematical modeling of power channels and main circulation loop, which can be used in safety analyses of RBMK reactors; this thesis has been applied in design phase of experiments dedicated to increase the safety of RBMK reactors; the field is the heat-and-power engineering.
