Research of indexes of tractive and speed performance characteristics as well as fuel economy values of the converted automobiles "Gasel" is conducted in work by the way of replacement of regular petrol engine a diesel. The procedure for selection of the "motor engine-transmission" system parameters in case of conversion of "Gasel" vehicles (for different types of engines and gear-boxes) has been developed. The method for determining optimal parameters of the "motor engine-transmission" system of re-equipped vehicles (N1 category) has been developed. The above method allows ensuring proper tractive and speed performance characteristics as well as fuel economy values of re-equipped "Gasel" vehicles under various operation conditions.
