Essay

Object of research - the process of grinding hard-to-machine materials; objective of research - increasing the quality and effectiveness of the processes of grinding hard-to-machine materials by improving the kinematics of shaping processes directed to creating conditions for manifestation of the adsorption-plasticising effect; methods - theoretical research based on the fundamental concepts of the theory of grinding, mechanics of plastic strain and fracture of metals, the molecular-kinetic theory of adsorption, and the theory of dislocations; novelty - for the first time, the criteria requirements regarding the kinematical provision of conditions for reducing the energy capacity of the grinding process with account of the adsorption-plasticising effect have been developed. This allowed to determine the ways of increasing the effectiveness of processes of grinding hard-to-machine materials, among which improving the kinematics of shaping the surface being machined is distinguished; implementation - atthe pilot production facility of IPMash NAS of Ukraine; field of application - machine building.
