Korniyenko V. Economic and Mathematical Modeling for Operation of Containerizing System

Peculiarities of development of containerizing system in the period of recovering of Ukraine as independent state are explored in the thesis. Ukraine possesses a developed transport system which gives possibility to transport cargoes in various directions. It is one of the positive features for development of the containerizing system in Ukraine. Containerizing of cargoes is the most wide-spread and advanced way for conveyance of packing cargoes and piece-goods in the compound directions. Development of the proper containerizing system caused expansion of the forwarding services in the home and world markets. It also provided a basis for efficient use of the containerizing system in the market of transport services. Ukrainian State Center for Transport Service "Lyski" completely satisfies consumers' needs in freight deliveries "from door to door" using intermode conveyances. It also provides promotion of quality of services. It is necessary to increase efficiency of operation of the containerizing system in order to advance one's positions in the transport services market of transport services in comparison with competitors. Methodological approaches to building up of the economic and mathematical model, to algorithm, to analysis and synthesis of the complex system of logistic link for containerizing flows in the process of maintenance by freighters' requests on transportation were developed for that purpose. Use of simulation modeling for the determining of the strategy for efficient operation of the containerizing system gives an opportunity to assess possible economic consequences and to substantiate conditions for further activity of terminal.
