Essay

The object: radiation damage of the metabolism of mitochondria in shoots of maize hybrids and corrective effect of ascorbate and niacin. The aim: to find out the peculiarities of the metabolism of mitochondria in shoots of maize hybrids under conditions of the total X-ray illumination by doses 0,129 and 1,29 C/kg; to prove the possibilities of correction it disturbances by ascorbate and niacin. Methods: biochemical, polarographic, potentiometric, spectrophotometric, ultracentrifugation, statistical. The practical importance: the obtained data supplement existing idea about the influence of X-ray illumination on the metabolism in mitochondria of shoots of maize hybrids and may use for search of new radioprophylactic remedies.
