Essay

Object – cytotoxicity activity and metabolism of glucose in mammalian cells. Methods of investigation: biochemical, chemical, statistic. Newness: The effect of five individual alkaloids (i.e. sanguinarine, chelerythrine, chelidonine, coptisine, berberine) obtained from greater celandine roots on cytotoxicity activity, phagocytic activity and chemiluminescence intensity in neutrophile granulocytes from human peripheral blood has been investigated. The effect of these compounds on glucose utilization and lactate production of NK/Ly cells and physical-chemical characteristics of DNA has been investigated. Area of use – biology, biochemistry, medicine.
