Subject: water, hydrobionts, bottom sediments. Aim: estimation of the contamination by organochlorine compounds of the component of the Black Sea Ecosystems. In past years a trend of DDT and PCBs concentration level decreasing in the surface water of the Black Sea as well as in algae, shellfish and fish of the Sevastopol marine area has been marked. It is determined that local sources of PCBs and OPs input in water area of the coastal region influence upon increase of the contents of these pollutants in water organisms. Results of investigations show that main concentrators of organochlorine compounds in the Black Sea are bottom sediments and mammals with significant lipid contents in tissues. PCBs accumulation levels depend on physicochemical parameters of the bottom sediments. Flow of PCBs sedimentation and period of water sedimentation purification of PCBs in the Sevastopol bay was estimated using sedimentation and deposition rates.
