Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the decision of n actual problem of modern rheumatology - to increase of efficiency of treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients development of recommendations for inclusion in a medical complex of drugs with antiviral activity, in view of virology, immunologic and clinical results of research of patients. It was shown, that at complex therapy RA patients with virus infection which includes preparations alpha-interferon and cycloferonum, the clinical effect methotrexate (MT) is considerably improved due to influence on viruses, potentiations immunologic action of basis therapy. At inclusion acyclovir in treatment of patients by RA with a virus infection also observed increase of clinical efficiency MT, that is connected by high activity acyclovir to a virus infection at RA. But application of preparations alpha-interferon and acyclovir is limited by their high toxicity and the big frequency of by-effects.
