Essay

The object - the processes of melanogenesis and the mechanisms of their regulation. The aim - to establish the interrelation between tyrosinase activity in skin and accumulation of melanin in naturally colored wool of Carpathian-Mountain sheep that enables to make impact on these processes. The methods and equipment - biochemical, histological, spectrophotometrical, physical and statistical, microscope "LOMO Micmed-1" with photocamera, KFK-3, microtome MPS-2. The novelty: at the first time in Carpathian-Mountain sheep with naturally colored wool the direct interrelation between melanogenesis and activity of tyrosinase has been established and the influence of paratypical factors has been shown. The localization and activity of tyrosinase in skin and hair follicle during wool growth have been investigated. The new data about stimulatory influence of cuprum, sulfur, iodine and tyrosine on melanogenesis have been obtained. The influence of pasture maintenance on tyrosinase activity in skin, melanin content and some other wool compounds, it physical parameters has been elucidated. The new data about the mechanisms of the influence various factors on melanogenesis in Carpathian-Mountain sheep that enables elaboration of scientific methods of breeding and maintenance have been obtained. The area of use - biochemistry, sheep breeding, nutrition and genetics
