Borysyuk M. Classification of water resources on integrated quality indexes on the example of Prypyat river basin

In this research work a new approach for classification of water resources in Chornobyl Exclusion Zone is offered using developed integrated quality indexes and situation system analysis. An approach has been used for Prypyat river basin, as a main water arteria of Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Application of integrated quality indexes allowed to define the hierarchy of contamination factors of water resources in Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, to improve the monitoring level of ecological situation at water objects, to conduct comparative analysis of water legislation of Ukraine, Russia and European Union, to define the tendencies of subsequent changes in water use system and water protection activities in Chornobyl Exclusion Zone and to offer a necessary direction in developing of Ukrainian water legilation.
