Object - generator-sorber in a metal hydride thermal sorption compressor for compressing hydrogen; objective - increasing the thermodynamic effectiveness of metal hydride elements in heat utilization installations by efficient organization of heat-and-mass transfer in thermal sorption processes; methods - complex implementation of design-theoretical and experimental methods of research in heat-and-mass transfer processes; novelty - technique for analyzing the thermal sorption interaction of the thermochemical system "metal hydride - hydrogen" with account of the kinetic factor, which would allow to determine the geometrical and regime specifications of the generator-sorber with a heat transfer matrix; results - a mathematical model of thermal sorption interaction of a metal hydride with hydrogen has been developed, which can be used for working out technical proposals on reconstructing heat recovery systems in metallurgical plants; an advanced design of a generator-sorber in a thermal sorption compressor with increased thermodynamic effectiveness has been developed; field of application - industrial heat-power engineering.
