Essay

This dissertation is devoted to the investigation of spreading, biology, morphology, seed formation and natural resumption of relict Mediterranean species J. oxycedrus in the conditions of Crimea. Facts about spreading of this species in the structure of different plant formations and associations in Crimea are given in this work. Seven new decorative forms of J. oxycedrus are described. In the borders of J. oxycedrus Crimean area 3 local, 10 landscape and 15 district populations of this species are marked out. Analysis of populations, sex structure, normal seeds formation and natural resumption in the borders of each population was made. It,s made a conclusion that the mane reasons of unlivable seeds formation are inbreeding and negative hydro-thermal conditions during the pollination. It is shown that conditions of the Crimea are comfortable for growth and development of J. oxycedrus. But for the low seeds, livability and antropogenous assignment it has faint natural resumption and that,s why Crimeanarea of this species becomes smaller.
