Essay

The thesis is devoted to development of machine vision facilities for tracking systems for seam without grooving. For the solution of this problem the method which is based on computer processing of a butt-joint line images, illuminated by sources structured and a diffuse light at the same time, is suggested. The researches of experimental and theoretical spectra of argon-arc welding have allowed choosing optical ranges of a visible and short-range infra-red spectrum which is the most advantageous for work of machine vision facilities of automatic control system of argon-arc welding process. The mathematical model of pattern recognition of the butt-joint line on images with capability of self-training s developed. The step-by-step method of decision-making about an attachment of objects to classes is used in above- mentioned model. Such method reduces amount of calculations and allows applying the developed model in systems of a real time.
