Essay

The main object of the thesis is to research the best uniform approximation of continuous compact-valued map by sets of continuous single-valued maps. We prove theorems of the existence and the uniqueness of the element of the best uniform approximation of continuous compact-valued map by sets of continuous single-valued maps. We established the necessary and sufficient conditions and criteria of the element of the best uniform approximation. We found the dual relation.
