The paper is devoted to investigation of modern geographical distribution, ecologcal and coenotical pecularities and elaboration of scientific basis of protection Betula humilis in Ukraine. The modern state of the ovrea are determineted. Different types of habitats of Betula humilis in Ukraine and ulations between them are deseribed. Ecologcal and coenotical time of Betula humilis to ecotones are determineted. The stucture of the populations are analyzed. Propositions for protection Betula humilis in Ukraine are proposed.
