Essay

Object of research is the process of the synchronous generator (SG) switching on for parallel operation with a powerful network. The purpose of research: the development of new principles for SG switching on using precise synchronization (PS) method with minimal dynamic effects after switching on. Methods of research: mathematic modeling and direct experiments. Theoretical results: the new principle of SG switching on using PS method that ensures switching on without advance angle (time) calculation is proposed for the first time. Practical results: new principle for PS method realization is developed. It ensures the SG switching on with dynamic effects minimization. A subject and degree of introduction: new principle for PS method realization is introduced in research and development work and in the training process for students studying on specialities “Electrical Stations” and “Electrotechnical Systems of Electrical Consumption” at Sevastopol National University of Nuclear Energy and Industry. Efficiency of introduction: SG technical operation life extension. Sphere of use: design and production of auto synchronizers that realize the PS method.
