Zakirov M. Ural-Siberian region of Russian Federation under the conditions of society transformation: participation of Ukrainian population

Dissertation is devoted to the problems of the Ukrainian population participation of Ural-Siberian region in the process of society transformation. In the research on a wide source basis the ways of forming, peculiarities of ethnonational selfrevealing and the role of the Ukrainian population in economic and social development of the Krai are analysed. Substantial attention is paid to the changes in the structure of placing of the allocation of the Ukrainian population in the region because of new industrial centers creation, political repressions, secret service and opening up mineral resources. Authoritarian soviet system disintegration gave a stimulus to spontaneous development of civil society, one display of which is making and development of various public associations, including public-cultural national organizations which play a leading role in making new democratic public relations. A special attention is paid to the problem of making organized public life of Ukrainians of Ural-Siberian region. In the work, the process of making Ukrainian national-cultural organizations is lighted up and basic directions of their activity are analysed
