Derevyanko V. Bioecological features of Common honeu locust (Gleditsia triacanthos L.) in connection with its culture in Southern Steppe of Ukraine.

The dissertation is devoted to research of biological-ecological features of Common honeu locust (Gleditsia triacanthos L.) in plantations Southern Steppe of Ukraine. It is established, that rhythms of growth and development of thisspacies are agreeed with climatic conditions. Some physiological features (the drought resistance water-keeping ability) of Common honeu locust were studied in the comparison with other dominated species of wood plants. The morphometric characteristic of plants in street, parks, forest belts, woody cultural-cenosis is made. For the first time multi-barrelling at Common honeu locust, was described and estimated bark a variety of forms on structure thorniness, morphology of a trunk, and rare phenomena of transformation havebeen revealed and described. New symptoms of diseases and damages are found. Ways of optimization of Common honeu locust use in green plantations are proved. Practical recommendations on trees location are developed for creation of street, roadside, woodyplantations included Common honeu locust.
