Essay

The objects are the annual ornamental plants of industrial territories under conditions of pollution with iron and chromium compounds, and also conditionally of clean zone. The aim is to establish influencing of pollution of the environment with iron and chromium compounds on the ecological and physiological features of the annual ornamental plants nitrogen feed and to find out the informative tests - parameters and test-objects for phitoindication researches. The methods are the field and laboratory ecomorphological, ecoanathomical and ecophisiological researches, atomic absorption spectophotometery, histochemical, supervision, analysis, synthesis, biometric count. The author has studied the dynamics of accumulation of the above-mentioned metals and the points of their location in histological elements of plant vegetative organs. Investigations have been also performed into both concurrent and individual effects of excessive amounts of iron and chromium on absorption and assimilation of nitrate and ammonia nitrogen in species of various tolerances. The author has defined informative test-indices and test-objects for phitoindicative investigations, namely: ammonia nitrogen contents, albuminous/non-albuminous nitrogen ratios, nitrate reductase activity and those of glutamine synthetase and glutamate dehydrogenases. The spheres of use are - phitoindication and training courses.
