Essay

A research object is action of ethanol on the organism of experimental animals and man. The purpose of work is determination of the functional state of biological membranes on activity of membrane enzymes, to the state LPO, activity of enzymes of antioxidant defenses and maintenance of makro-, microelements in the organism of experimental animals and man on condition of influencing of ethanol. Research methods: atomic-absorption, flaming-photometric, photometric, spectral-photometric analyses, statistical methods. The findings of the study of short- and long-term ethanol action on the amount of macro- and microelements and activity metalloenzymes in the organs and tissues of animals depending on the duration of ethanol administration are reported. Ethanol influence on the state of biological membranes is shown to be the central link in xenobiotic effect realization in the organism. The influence of ethanol on the biological membranes manifests by changes activity of membrane-associated enzymes. Prolonged action of ethanol is characterized by intensification of lipid peroxidation at primary compensation followed by exhaustion of antioxidant systems, as well as oxidative stress development. Application of determining macro- and microelements in organs and tissues as an additional criterion in diagnosis of deaths caused by ethanol poisoning is substantiated. Industry of the use: establishments of medical-biological, type to the practical worker.
