Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the problem of existence and nonexistence of global solutions of the Couchy problem for doubly degenerate parabolic equations with a nonlinear source. The sufficient conditions for existence and nonexistence of bounded non-negative solutions were established in the following cases: the initial datum slowly decreases to zero; the source has a nonlocal multiplier; the equation has the nonlocal source and the initial functions slowly decreases to zero.
