Essay

The thesis deals with investigation of generation, stability and spectrum of transversally small-scale ULF eigenmodes of magnetospheric resonator. A set of equations for transversally small-scale perturbations of static MHD equilibrium was obtained. These equations were supplied with complex boundary conditions on the ionosphere with dissipation. The system’s stability was analyzed. The eigenmode spectrum was investigated. These results were verified by numerical calculations and observational data.
