Myagkova T. The diagnosis, course, pathogenic significance and treatment of the metabolic syndrome in patients with gout

SUBJECTS: patients with gout and metabolic syndrome (MS); PURPOSE: to improve the quality of MS diagnosis in patients with gout, to determine clinico-pathologic peculiarities of the disease in the disease in the presence of such a combination of pathology and to enhance the efficacy of therapeutic measures; methods: clinical, biochemical, immunoferment, electrophysiologic, ultrasound, roentgenologic, radionuclidic, statistic; NOVELTY: for the first time the correlation of the peculiarities the articular, renal and cardiac pathology course in patients with gout and insulinoresistence degree and expression of other MS manifestations, a pathogenic role of the carbohydratic and lipid metabolic impairments in the clinico-laboratory course of the disease, their ratio of purine dysmetabolism; RESULTS: the criteria which allow to prognose a course of gout as a whole and MS in the presence of the disease in particular as weel as to controle the course of therapeutic measures have been determined; an effective medical technology of individual pathogenic therapy of patients taking in to consideration changes of separate components of MS have been developed; it has been put in practice at the rheumatologic and therapeutic departments of medical establishments of Donetsk, Lugansk, Poltava and the educational process at Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkov medical universities; the area of employment: treatment and diagnostic process of rheumatologic, therapeutic, endocrinologic, cardiologic departments, and the educational process of medical higher establishments.
