Essay

The important scientific and technical task concerning the creation of effective firefighting and fire-protective agents for wood on the basis of three-component mixtures of materials that increase the quality of active and passive means of fire prevention of objects where wood carries part of the load is solved in the work. The effect of synergism of fire suppression of gas and air mixtures by two- and three-component powder compounds containing amines is discovered. It is experimentally proved that three-component powder compounds containing amines, in particular monoammonium phosphate, ammonium and carbamide sulphate, are more effective in fighting class A fires (wood). It is proved that powder compounds become more effective due to their previous heating. Three-component compound, consisting of monoammonium phosphate, ammonium and carbamide sulphate, proved to have high inhibiting efficiency. Experimental researches allowed recommending this compound as impregnating agent for protecting wood from fire. Impregnating agent developed is referred to the first group of fire-protective efficiency. Epoxy polymer with the addition of amofos and carbamid formaldehyde resin mixture, that is recommended to be used as a covering for wood with fire-protective efficiency, is developed.
