The thesis is devoted to the determination of the place and role of science and education in the noosphere concept by V.Vernadsky. The modern content of the noosphere concept and the place of science and education in it are critically revised and specified, the interrelation of science and education and the ways of its activation in the programs of building up the knowledge society are considered, the parameters of transforming the scientific-cognitive activity and educational process taking place in the world and in Ukraine for the last decades in their relation to V.Vernadsky's ideas are determined, the role of informational communication technologies in modernizing and transforming the educational process is analyzed, the principles of making it have "human" dimensions are grounded, the content, direction and educational resources of the noosphere education concept are revealed.
