Essay

The research object:: dynamical characteristics of the paddle-wheel of the vertical axial-flow water turbine. The aim the research: determination of the ways to increase an efficiency of turbine's work. The methods of research: Methods of research of hydrodynamics of viscid liquid, methods of hydrodynamic panels elements. Theoretical and practical results: Considers the algorithm of the nonstationary flow of the 3D profiles by a viscous liquid. The algorithm for calculation of the plane nonstationary boundary layer (interface) for the cases of a flow of the motionless bodies and bodies rotating around axis with angular velocity by the finite-difference method is given. The results of the numerical modeling of the 3D flow in the region of water wheel turbine are presented. Scientific novelty: Present the algorithm and solution of the 3D problem of the tear-off flow of the water wheel's paddles by a viscous flow using method of the hydrodynamical features. In this method a panel of the sources - drainsis taken as a hydrodynamical feature. The algorithm for calculation of the hydrodynamic loads on the paddles of the water wheel in the case of tear-off flow is also stated. The degree of implementation: Method and program of calculation is used in NPO Frunze, Sumy, "Turboatom" Kharkov, Sumy State University. Application area: Can be used on industrial enterprises of pumps and turbines, in project institutes and educational process.
