Сhugrina O. Transformation of Inter-nation and Inter-ethnos Relation in Western Europe in 1980s-1990s.

The thesis is the complex historical research of the process of transformation of inter-nation and inter-ethnos relations during the last two decades of the ХХth century. This analysis is made on the basis of current theoretical developments of the scientific thought in historical sciences while a great number of historical sources and literature has been attracted to it. Recognition of interdependency and interstipulation of individual and collective ethnopolitical rights has become the main characteristic feature of new European system of inter-nation and inter-ethnos relations. Since the beginning of 1980s in Western European countries the processes of federalization and regionalization have been steadily increasing with an integration vector. The European policy was strongly directed to diminishing the role of a state through the advance of federalism and regionalism. The attributes of this new system of inter-nation and inter-ethnos relations have become: ’breaking’ of territoriality, a new understanding of sovereignity, an emphasis on above-nation and sub-nation aspects in humankind’s problem solving and some others.
