Essay

The results of theoretical study of hydrodynamic and thermalphysics processes in the converter chamber during the slagging bath blowing and the flare guniting of the converter lining are under defence. Using the methods of mathematical modeling we have determined the fields of the gas velocities, the liquid slag and the slag occlusion fields, the dynamics of the free surface of the gaseous and liquid-slag phases separation while the slagging bath blowing with the use of a tuyere with one and two-level nozzle arrangement; the thickness and the location of the flar on the converter lining surface and on the tuyere barrel floor; the fields of the gunite-mass and the concentration fields of its components - the fuel (coke) and the refractory; temperature fields and geometrical characteristics of the gunite-covering.
