Essay

The analytical expressions for reflection and transmission coefficients of coherent, ‘quasidiffuse’ and diffuse waves are obtained in the case of cylindrically bent single crystals containing homoge-neously distributed Coulomb-type defects. As shown, the influence of a bend is more appreciable for the negative curvature and the increase of the curvature leads to the broadening of all the com-ponents of the reflection curve. The influence of macroscopic strain on patterns of intensity distribution for diffuse scattering from microdefects of two types (spherically-symmetric clusters and dislocation loops) has been analysed and shown to be more appreciable for defects with smaller radii.
