Essay

The thesis is devoted to assessment of tree storey condition in the monitoring plots of Level II in forest stands of Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine and to improvement of analysis and interpretation of monitoring data. Representativeness of monitoring data has been proved. Crown indices variability have been determined for five tree species. Diagnostic signs for oak trees mortality were determined. Method of complex evaluation for tree storey by the data of Level II monitoring has been developed accounting - crown condition, tree damage and mortality.
