Essay

The thesis is devoted to definition of parameters of equigravitating figures. Their gravitational fields coincide with the external gravitational potentials of celestial bodies. Equigravitating figures' properties are described in the thesis. The advantages of the celestial bodies' gravitational potentials description via equigravitating figures in comparison with other methods are pointed out. An equigravitating pivot for toroidal configuration (lemniscatic torus) is found. A non-uniform equigravitating disk is found for an ellipsoid of rotation with homologous stratification is found. The method of description of the gravitational fields of non-equilibrium configurations with the superposition of equigravitating pivots and disks is proposed. The models of giant planets' gravitational fields using the system of a non-uniform were developed. The equigravitating figures method is compared with other methods of description of selfgravitating configurations' gravitational potentials.
