Essay

Сhange laws of chemical and phase composition, structure and physical-mechanical properties of typical dental alloys on a basis of cobalt and nickel (Remanium GM-700, Remanium GM-800, Remanium CSe and some experimental alloys) during processes of repeated consecutive recasting with the purpose of an possibility of recirculative alloys use is studied. The concentration of basic elements in alloys at consecutive recasting remains practically constant and mechanical properties of alloys significant degrade was shown. Physical reasons which results are degradation of alloys properties at different amount of recasts was established. The catastrophic drop of mechanical properties is caused by accumulation of impurities was established. These impurities were formed by oxides and carbides. The basic source of impurity is the surface of recasting materials. The alloys surfacing before recasting considerably improves alloys properties was shown. The methods of alloys surfacing before recasting (mechanical polishing, electrolytic polishing and chemical etching) were offered.
