Essay

The investigation of the Laser Shock Wave (LSW) effect on the change of the electronic properties and defect forming in the materials with different plastic properties (Fe, stainlees steel Х18Н10Т-ВД, Si) after LSW processing in transparent condensed medium protected with a heat screen. It was demonstrated that LSW processing can selectively modify resistance and IU characteristic of surface and interface layers in Si structure. It is shown that LSW passed in stainless steel Х18Н10Т-ВД, causes martensite conversional and increases corrosion stability in liquid lithium in comparison with austenite obtained after conventional thermal treatment. The formation of austenite by shock wave mechanism is connected with two rival action factors: great (2GPa) compression and low (0,01) plastic deformation degree. The selective dissipation of LSW is the main factor, which causes the cleaning of the grain border from the impurities and gomogenizing of structure.
