Zakharova O. Prince George Lvov and his activity as the head of the All-Russia Union of Zemstvos.

The dissertation is devoted to research of the person of public and political figure of the Russian empire of the last quarte of the XIX - beginning of the XXth century - prince George Lvov, and also his activity as the head of the All-Russia Zemstvo Union during World War. Complex of the factors which have influenced formation and evolution of his outlook is determined, the social-political position of the prince is investigated. The periods of activity of the union are defined, the place of the Zemstvo Union in political life of the country is researched. Also the style of prince management of the Zemstvo Union has been analyzed.
