Essay

The purpose is analysis of the working process of centrifugal pumps with single- and double-blade impellers treating gas-liquid mixtures, as well as formulation of recommendations for selection of the most appropriate pump equipment for the given operation conditions. The methods are computational-analytical, numerical simulation of flow, and the experimental one. As a result it was found out that the centrifugal pumps with single- and double-blade impellers can be used to pump the gas-liquid mixtures hereby covering partly the range of specific speed from 130 to 300, which is the least investigated one. The recommendations for selection of the most appropriate flow passage of a centrifugal pump for treating the gas-liquid mixtures are formulated. The recommendations for selection of the most appropriate pump equipment for treating the gas-liquid mixtures under the given operation conditions are formulated. The technique for recomputing the main parameters of centrifugal pumps with single- and double-blade impellers from the water to the gas-liquid mixture is suggested. The field of application is the pump building industry.
