Malyk O. “Pathomorphology of cardiac arteries at sudden death in persons of young age”

Dissertation thesis is dedicated to research of causes, epidemiology of sudden non-violent death and pathohistologic changes in coronary arteries at death. Interdependence of the structure of sudden non-violent death in the regions of Ukraine and their index of industrialization. Arteriosclerosis, manifested by circulatory muscular-elastic hyperplasia of intima or fibrous patch, including the one with insignificant amount of lipids, is the main pathological process. It has been proved that inflammatory changes in coronary arteries as the reaction to pathogenic factor are the same by their cellular composition, but occur more often in arteriosclerotic process in comparison to the atherosclerotic process, and they do not have direct dependence on the degree of stenosis. For the first time proofs of the influence of xenobiotics as a result of smoking and unhealthy conditions of work upon sudden non-violent death in persons of young age have been obtained.
