Essay

The thesis is devoted to working out methods for creation of systems based on activated fruit-stone carbon supported with acidic centers which are active in acid-base catalytic reactions. Variants of pretreatment of KAU, leading to the formation of carbon matrix with reactive functional covering are proposed. The principles of KAU modification by sulphuric, phosphotungstic, phosphoric acids, oleum, sulphur vapor with further oxidation by hydrogen peroxide, sulfopoly-?-methylstyrene that support up to 1 mmol/g acidic centers in the surface layer are devised. Basing on modern analysis methods the peculiarities of the whole KAU modification stages are studied, the thermo chemical transformation of surface acidic centers is described and adsorptive catalytic properties of systems obtained are investigated. The perspective application of synthesized materials in acid-base catalysis is described in model reactions of isopropanol, methanol and ethanol dehydration. It is determined that the temperature of 100%isopropanol conversation on the most active samples is 150-175?С. The thermal destruction of acidic groups of catalytic systems obtained is found to occur at 200-450?С.
