Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the development of methods, algorithms and devices, which make use of wavelet signal transform for compression of information signals in control systems. Theoretical models of memory organizations for different implementations of lifting transforms of two-dimensional signals are defined. New scalable video coding algorithm is designed that efficiently combines the advantages of non-scalable MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) codec and scalable 3D wavelet coder MC-EZBC.
