Object of Investigation. Моtion process of the vehicle on the different modes and functioning prcess of its transmission based on the gear-lever variator. Purpose of Investigation. Improving of the "engine-transmission" system using implementation into its constraction the gearless gear-lever variator. Methods of Investigation. method of physical and mathematical modelling of vehicle motion and operating of variator as the element of the vehicle's transmission, structure and parameters of the automotive gear-lever variator. Apparatus: the devise for testing of powertrains and engines of automobiles and tractors. Theoretical and practical results: carried out the modeling of the motion of the vehicle, equipped with transmission, based on the gear-lever variator, developed the method of syntes of the gear-lever variators and found the requirements for structure and parameters of the gear-lever variator for the automotive transmission. Novelty: the interactions, wheech allow to detect of optimal parameters of the gear lever variator form the position of power-speed characteristic and fuel economy, were found. The algorithm of detecting of the limiting parameters of the variator was developed. The syntez algorythm of variator for the automotive transmission was improved.
