Essay

The theory of electron and hole energy spectra in complicated elliptic quantum wires with radial heterostructure is developed within the rectangular potential barriers model and effective mass approximation. The theory of electron and hole energy spectra in elliptic quantum wires with axial heterostructure is developed. The theory of interface and confined optical phonons energy spectra in elliptic quantum wire and elliptic nanotube is developed in the framework of dielectric continuum model.
