The results of studying the localization, expansion, zonality of Alpian formations, Alpian veins morphology, metallogenic and mineragenic importance of Alpian process in the iron rock mass of Kryvyi Rih series Saksagan suite are presented in the work. It was shown that Alpian veins formation accompa-nied most of geological processes occurring in iron ore rock mass. The highest activity of Alpian process was connected with dynamothermal metamorphism of iron rocks and their later sodic metasomatosis. The Alpian veins of zones of contact, shocking metamorphism, hypergenesis and others are of secondary importance. It was proved that Alpian veins localization is stipulated by the content of enclosing rocks and character of tectonic disturbances of their layers manifes-tation. According to the morphological-genetic features the veins of plicate structures, of disjunctive structures and related to the processes of mineral crystallization are determined. Alpian formations are characterized by the manifestationof mineralogical zoning having different levels: regional one (within Kryvyi Rih basin), local (within separate deposits, stratigraphic horizons, metasomatic bodies) and mi-crolevel zoning that is displayed in zonary structure of veins. Data on the important role of Alpian process in the formation of metallic and nonmetallic mineral resources manifestation are presented.
