Kochеrga N. Ecological features of increase of productivity and biological sustainability of forests in Polissya and Forest-Steppe of Kyiv region.

Dissertation for obtaining degree of a Candidate of Agricultural Science in speciality 03.00.16 - ecology. - Institute of agroecology of UAAN, Kyiv, 2007. The dissertation is devoted to studying of ecological features of dynamics of the state of forests in Polissya and Forest-Steppe of Kyiv region and scientific proof of forestry ways and methods to increase the forests summary productivity and biological sustainability. On the basis of eco-systemic approach a casual-effect algorithm of the dynamics of forests properties by their productivity and biological sustainability is described. Ecological causes of drying of pine forests of all age groups and of different descent are assessed and classified. Synergetic effect of interrelation between unfavourable to forests ecological factors like anthropogenically disturbed edaphotops, abuse of forestry standards to maintain forests, climatic extremes, impact of pests and diseases, and competition between grasses is discovered. System of the forestry ways andmethods to increase the forests summary productivity and biological sustainability is developed.
