The dissertation has been studying Ukrainian lands for the period from middle of 10 th - 60 th years of XIX century in perception of Polish Central - European press. The work shows relations of Polish issues to the historical past of Ukraine. You can find the main periods of Ukraine's history which had found their reflection on the pages. The author had studied opinions of Polish authors on social - economic and public life of Ukraine. The work notes the attention of Polish Central - European issues to the Ukrainian culture. It determins the place and role of Polish illegal press in popularizing of Ukraine. The author had analyzed Polish - Ukrainian relations on the pages of illegal issues of November and January uprisings. He found out the peculiarities of underground press as for Ukraine. The perceptions of educational realities by Polish press in Ukrainian lands, religious traditions Ukrainian people are characterized in the work. The author had conducted comparative analysis of Ukrainian documents on the pages of Polish and Russian issues of the Right Bank and West Ukraine.
