Kostyukovs'kyj B. Methods and appropriate applications of united energy system's generating capacities structure forecasting taking into account power sector liberalization

Object of research: United Power System (UPS). The purpose of research: development of methods and appropriate applications for long term forecasting and scenarios building of UPS's generating capacities development under electricity market liberalization based on mathematical modeling techniques and processing of experts assessments. Methods of research: mathematical modeling techniques, linear and partially integer programming, processing of experts assessments. Theoretical results and scientific novelty: methods and appropriate applications for long term forecasting of UPS's generating capacities development based on synthesis of improved optimization models and methods of investment effectiveness assessment was developed. Practical results: developed methods and appropriate applications are included into software system using by Institute of General Energy NAS of Ukraine for UPS's generating capacities development study. A subject and degree of introduction: the results are used in Ukrainian EnergyStrategy 2030, scientific maintenance of National Complex Wind Farms Building Program. Effectiveness of introduction: system modeling taking into account impact of electricity market liberalization on scenarios of UPS's generating capacities development. Field of utilization: forecasting of UPS's generating capacities development under electricity market liberalization.
